About The Original Rosslyn Hotel
The Original Rosslyn Hotel suits visitors who want a quiet Midlothian base rather than a city-centre address, with easy access into Edinburgh when needed and a calmer pace the rest of the time. It works well for those travelling by car, drivers heading toward the Zoo, or anyone keen on golf, given the free on-site parking and a golf course nearby.
There are 18 rooms, with drinks available in room and the practical extras that make a stay simple: 24 hour reception, a lift, laundry service and luggage storage. A restaurant and bar are on site, breakfast is served, and free WiFi is included throughout. Meeting rooms are available too, so the hotel can double up for those combining business with a short break, and pets are welcome for travellers who don't want to leave them behind.
Beyond the hotel, Roslin offers pubs, bars and restaurants nearby, along with entertainment options, while Edinburgh Zoo is within reach for a day out. It's a fair fit for those who want a comfortable, no-fuss stay outside the busier parts of the city, with Slateford around seven miles away for anyone continuing further afield.
