Rosslyn Chapel is a short walk away, and Edinburgh's city centre lies just seven miles north. The village itself has a pub within a mile, making this a good base for exploring both the historic sites of Midlothian and the Scottish capital without staying in the city itself.

Roslin Retreats - Roslin Chapel Cottage is a stone-built property with two bedrooms and two bathrooms, sleeping four. Downstairs, an open-plan living and dining space opens onto the garden through French doors; the kitchen is fully equipped for self-catering, with an electric oven, hob, dishwasher and microwave. The first bedroom is also on the ground floor. Upstairs, the second bedroom has an ensuite bathroom with a bath and shower. Both bedrooms have kingsize beds and Freeview TV. The cottage has gas central heating, and essentials including bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi are covered. There is parking for one car on site and a private garden with patio, seating and a barbecue, though the garden does have steps. No smoking is permitted inside. One well-behaved pet is welcome.
