The Old Church is a converted church near Lumb Valley in Rossendale, accommodating ten guests across five bedrooms and two bathrooms. The building retains its original architecture—the bell tower, lofty ceilings, and period features—but functions as a fully equipped modern holiday home. Everything needed for a stay is provided: electricity, gas, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi are included, as is initial fuel for the wood burners. You have the entire property to yourselves.
The layout spreads across four floors. Ground floor contains two reception rooms with wood burners, a well-stocked kitchen with electric oven, gas hob, dishwasher and coffee machine, plus a separate toilet. Upstairs are the five bedrooms—one with an ensuite shower room, the others served by a main bathroom with bath and shower. A games room occupies the second floor, and the bell tower sits at the top with another wood burner. Outside, a private hot tub seats six, and there's a private gym and patio garden with on-road parking.
The property does not accommodate hen or stag parties. No smoking throughout.

Fantastic property with excellent amenities and location. First impressions of the property are amazing - its set on an idyllic hill with great views. The bell tower views are similarly exceptional. The kitchen is well kitted out, and there are plenty of pans, plates, cutlery etc (we were a group of 11). Bathrooms are spacious. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The hot tub, cinema and games rooms were brilliant for the family to keep entertained for hours. There are nice walks in the local area. Overall an excellent stay which I would highly recommend.

We booked The Old Church in Rossendale as a base for a few days of mountain biking in Adrenaline Valley, and it was the perfect spot. Plenty of space, great facilities, and a really comfortable place to come back to after long days on the trails. The hot tub was a group favourite (easing those tired legs) and the log burner made for a great spot to relax in the evenings. The large kitchen and dining area made it easy to prep meals, and having laundry facilities was a huge bonus after coming back covered in mud! It would have been nice to have dedicated bike storage, but to be fair, the area is so secluded that it didn’t really matter too much. Host communication was clear and simple, making everything straightforward from check-in to check-out. If you’re looking for a unique, spacious stay with great access to trails and all the comforts you need after a full day riding, this is the place. Highly recommend!

We had a really wonderful stay at The Old Church! Everything you can want. Situated within walking distance of amazing scenic walks, fresh produce available on the doorstep. The accommodation has everything you need. We enjoyed playing pool, spending lots of time in the amazing hot tub (well earned after some lovely hikes) and watching films in the dedicated cinema room. Every room is spacious and comfortable. There is a really handy app that gives great advice on nearby things to do, dining options and other helpful tips that will cover any questions or queries you many have. I can’t recommend it enough! 5*

Had the most amazing stay at this beautiful house. We were a group of friends who booked this home and it is just perfect with plenty of space and lots of character! Cinema room, gym, hot tub, game room and so much more. Hosts are very attentive and quick to respond. House is very tastefully done with a lot of attention to detail. Loved our time there and would return again! Highly recommend it
