Cox Cottage

Cox Cottage is fully equipped for self-catering, with essentials covered: underfloor heating throughout, electricity and gas included, plus Wi-Fi. The kitchen has an electric oven, gas hob, dishwasher and washer-dryer, making it straightforward to cook and clean. Both bedrooms have ensuite bathrooms—the first with a shower cubicle, the second with a bath and overhead shower. Bed linen and towels are provided. The ground floor opens to a garden with terrace and seating, and there is parking for two cars on site.

The cottage sits on an 18-acre smallholding with its own lawned garden, enclosed and fenced. The living space centres on a woodburner and Freeview TV. Bedroom 1 has a zip-and-link kingsize bed (divisible into two singles on request); Bedroom 2 a kingsize bed with French doors to a Juliet balcony. The grounds hold a pond, and there's a bike store if you want to explore the surrounding footpaths. A travel cot is available by arrangement.

Royal Tunbridge Wells town centre is under 5 miles away. Paddock Wood station, 50 minutes from London, is the nearest railway. The coast at Hastings is roughly 40 minutes' drive. Local attractions include Brenchley Wood Nature Reserve, Sissinghurst and several National Trust properties. The owners can arrange day fishing passes for the trout pond. A pub and shop are 1½ miles away. No smoking inside the cottage.
