Rutland

Rutland's quiet villages sit within reach of countryside walks and Rutland Water, a reservoir that draws sailors, cyclists and families year-round. The Folly is a listed stone building in the heart of this farming landscape, originally built and crafted by a local stonemason whose work remains visible throughout. Two bedrooms, each with its own ensuite, occupy the first floor; downstairs there's a sitting room with sofa bed and a separate shower room. The kitchen comes fully equipped—gas hob, electric oven, dishwasher, range—and opens into the dining space. Essentials like heating, electricity, bed linen and towels are covered, along with wifi for when you need it.
Six guests can spread across the bedrooms and sofa bed comfortably. Outside, a front garden with seating and furniture gives a place to sit and look back at the building itself. On-site parking takes two cars. The village has two pubs within walking distance, one known for its food. A short drive reaches Rutland Water, where you can sail, canoe, windsurf, play golf or cycle, or simply walk the water's edge and watch for birds. No smoking throughout the property.

What guests say
Excellent accomodation. Spotlessly clean with high quality fixtures and fittings. Good quality TV with extras. Great welcome pack and a very comfortable bed. The owners live next door and they're very friendly and welcoming. Great place to stay with a great pub two minutes away which is very dog friendly. Will be returning next year.
