Hole Park Gardens

Beautiful gardens on the Barham family estate in the Weald of Kent, open to visitors on select days from April to October, known for their wonderful bluebell woods. April is the best time to visit, when lovely woodland walks are complemented by stunning tulip borders. A little later in the season, vibrant azaleas, rhododendrons and roses warrant another visit. The gardens cover a sizeable area, accessible by well marked paths which pass numerous points of interest, including the Dell, Egg Pond (so named after its shape), Rockery and Sundial Garden. Formal gardens with meticulously tended flowerbeds contrast with wilder areas in the stream valley, providing plenty of variety rewarding those who fully explore the grounds. The Coach House tearoom offers an appealing selection of lunch options, with a focus on locally sourced ingredients. There's indoor and covered outdoor seating. A small selection of themed gifts are available for purchase in the tearoom. Other onsite facilities include ample parking and well maintained toilets. The gardens are dog friendly. At the time of our visit, adult tickets were £12.50 (or £12 if booked online at least a day in advance), great value for such a lovely place.

If you love bluebell woods, nature and stunning views, you will absolutely love Hole Park Gardens. It's breath taking. A beautiful, gorgeous garden with a woodland that comes alive in spring with an abundance of bluebells. There are plenty of benches in the woods so you can stop and enjoy the peace and absorb the wonderful views. The formal gardens are stunning too, with so many lovely areas to explore. There is also a lovely tea room that serves light lunches, a variety of hot and cold drinks and delicious cakes and treats. Highly recommend this wonderful place.

April. We were wowed at the gardens. The website shows a bluebell barometer.. the day we went it was only two but they were amazing! Also very impressed with other colour in the gardens, as well as sculptures scattered around. The cafe was nice but if you like your coffee be prepared to be disappointed... only filler coffee available... ours were a bit tepid in taste and temperature. Lovely cakes and savouries though. Nice welcome. All in all, recommended.

Thoroughly enjoyed our visit here today. Staff were all ultra friendly. Gorgeous gardens and beautiful views. Lots of little different areas dotted around the grounds to find and explore. Toilets are very clean and there's lots of benches dotted around the grounds for an impromptu rest
