What visitors say

Carlton McFarlane

Lovely park, somewhat spoilt by the lack of refuse collection. Spacious, with a good playground and nice views of, and walks along, the water. Some interesting plaques detailing the history of the park, and the relationship to the great administrative and social reformer Sir Robert Peel and the various social advances he spearheaded on behalf of workers in the mid-19th century.

Really lovely park with plenty of benches to sit and relax. It's clean, well looked after, and a nice place for a walk. I'd highly recommend visiting around sunset as it looks absolutely gorgeous.
