About Imperial Salford Hotel

Cross Lane in Salford is a busy stretch of road handy for Salford Quays and MediaCityUK, and it's here that the Imperial Salford Hotel makes its home. It's a straightforward, down-to-earth stop rather than a destination in itself, well placed for anyone passing through Greater Manchester or working nearby.

Rooms are brightly decorated and vary in layout, with some bi-level options offering a bit more space for families. All come with en-suite bathrooms, drinks available in the room, and free WiFi throughout, while 24 hour reception means arrival times are flexible. Family rooms are also available for those travelling in a group.

There's no in-house restaurant, but a pub or bar, restaurant and eatery can all be found nearby, along with entertainment options and a golf course for those wanting to fill their time outdoors. It suits guests after a practical base near the Quays rather than a polished city-centre stay.

Unfortunately this hotel was just not great, granted it’s cheap wasn’t expecting luxury however, it’s absolutely filthy. Khan was kind enough to change my room after I reported the initial one they gave me was dirty and smelt really badly, thank you for that. The second room was miles better however even in the second room unfortunately there was dirt and mould on the shower head? Reported this to Khan who left without resolving it, I then asked the person after him can it be cleaned, he told me no can clean it as no cleaners were on site which fine but then offer an alternative solution? Be apologetic? He was just nothing, he didn’t care. I unfortunately could therefore not use it to have a shower and had to remove the head and use the hose like I was camping outside. Check out could not come fast enough! Do not stay here if you want a comfortable nights stay. It’s a great location very close to Salford crescent station but that’s all that’s great about it I’m afraid. Don’t be like me, trust the reviews on this place are as bad as they say!

I stayed at the Imperial Salford Hotel for three days and overall had a very good experience. The room was comfortable, and the location made it easy to get around. The service was generally good, and the staff were friendly without being over the top. A special thanks goes to T, who made a noticeable difference with their friendliness and helpful attitude. It was truly appreciated and made the stay a bit better. All in all, a place I’m happy to recommend and would consider visiting again.

If you're planning to stay this hotel, let me save you some time... Don't. Booked this hotel as it was cheap and was going to an event on a Friday night. Arrived at the hotel when it was dark, a few car parking spaces which was okay. Checked in all fine, went to the room and it had a really bad smell in the room like someone had just cleaned it with out-of-date products. The room felt really old and the furniture was all dusty. The bathroom had multiple spiders (dead & alive) in the corners of the ceiling. The bathroom was also incredibly small, not much room to move about if you need to go toilet or do, well, pretty much anything in there. Luckily we didn't need to stay in the hotel for an extended period of time as was just there for an event and then getting the hell out of there (thank god). Fast-forward a few weeks and I've been slapped with a £100 parking fine for parking in the hotel car park. On the booking sites, they state there is FREE PRIVATE PARKING. My appeal for the parking fine has been denied because they "couldn't verify" my stay at the hotel and that my vehicle was not on the "site whitelist". They have said there is signage around the car park about paying (this is from ParkMaven). But why would you look around when it's dark for info about parking, when you're under the assumption from the booking site that it's free parking? The person who checked us in, never mentioned anything about the parking or that I had to give my registration details for the parking and there was no machine / iPad or anything to put in my reg. And then on the Friday evening when we left for the event, there was no one on reception, and even on Saturday morning when we left to go home, there was still no one on reception. You might think it's a cheap option to stay for a night, but honestly, spend the extra money to get a decent nights sleep and a nicer hotel... One that also won't slap you with a £100 parking fine for parking without making payment even though the hotel states it's FREE parking.

Very outdated hotel with filthy rooms and damaged furniture. The 2-person bed is very small and unsuitable for 2 grown ups. Yes, I do acknowledge they never claim to be a 3* hotel, however they're in the 3* price range so I'm comparing to other hotels I've been in this city.
