About Ibis budget Manchester Salford Quays

Salford Quays has grown into one of the north west's busiest waterside districts, home to MediaCityUK and a well-connected tram network, and Ibis budget Manchester Salford Quays gives visitors an affordable base right on Trafford Road. With 210 rooms spread across seven floors, it's built for straightforward, no-fuss stays rather than lingering in the room, though families and business travellers alike will find what they need, including accessible and family rooms.

Rooms are compact, which suits the price point but won't suit anyone wanting extra space or privacy. A continental breakfast is served on site, and there's a bar and snack bar for something quick outside of mealtimes. Practical extras include air conditioning, lift access, luggage storage, a laundry service and business facilities, plus an electric vehicle charge point and chargeable on-site parking for those driving in. Pets are welcome too.

The hotel's location near tram stops makes it easy to reach MediaCityUK, Salford Quays and central Manchester without needing a car. There are also pubs, restaurants and other eateries nearby for evenings out. It's a hotel built around convenience and value rather than luxury, and it delivers steadily on that promise.

Rooms are small but the bed is comfy. The shower has good water pressure. So everything in the room is good. Offers a breakfast for £9 which is fine and there is free tea or coffee at reception. Great location and easy access to old trafford stadium and great access to the tram. About 4 stops to get into the centre. Offers parking at the back of the hotel for £14 for 24hours

The rooms are fine and basic - wouldn’t want to spend anymore time in them other than sleeping. No chargers next to bed, only on desk opposite. The main road outside is crazy loud so will need to keep window shut regardless of the weather. Breakfast did the job, no complaints. Main downside is having to pay for parking at £14 - if I had known I would have to spend the £14 on parking, I would have paid for a nicer hotel; plain and simple.

Stayed here as a single person in June 2026. Hotel is really well positioned for the tram which is across the road. Super close to MediaCity and heaps of bars and restaurants. The hotel itself is definitely budget so ensure youre not expecting anything more. The room was tiny and no frills however very clean and the bed was really comfy. Room was fairly quiet however I was on the 6th floor. The room itself has everything pretty much in one room. Shower is next to your bed and separate toilet next to the shower. Tiny TV on the wall. For some reason, every time I left my room I was asked by housekeeping if I was checking out? Surely there's a report you pull that shows which rooms are due out? Felt a bit odd and transactional. However....all other staff really friendly and would put their head up from their task to say hey. Overall, a pleasant stay. Its definitely budget and if youre wanting to spend time in a hotel room to relax, this probably isnt the one for you but if youre only using it for a bed then id recommend!

The room was about what you would expect for the price. However, I noticed that the sheets on the upper bunk bed and the towel for drying feet had not been replaced, which was a little concerning. As others have mentioned, the smell in the hallway is quite distinctive, and people who are sensitive to smells might find it a bit unpleasant. The most satisfying part of this hotel was the wonderful staff. Everyone was very kind, and I almost felt sad to leave the hotel. One female staff member with a cool hairstyle and hair color helped us with the kettle. Even though we only understand a little English, she patiently explained everything to us. It may seem like a small thing, but I was really impressed by her kindness. Being cool and kind at the same time is honestly the best. I will never forget it. Thank you so so much.
