About Travelodge Manchester Salford Quays

Travelodge Manchester Salford Quays suits travellers who want a straightforward, no-fuss base for exploring the city without overspending on the room itself. It works well for match days at Old Trafford, weekend trips into central Manchester, or visits to MediaCityUK, and it's equally happy to accommodate pets if you're travelling with a dog.

The hotel has 156 rooms with en-suite bathrooms, and accessible rooms are available, spread across seven floors with a lift. Rooms come with drinks available on request, and there's a bar and restaurant on site, plus 24 hour reception for late arrivals or early starts. Guests generally find the rooms clean and well kept, and the breakfast includes vegan options, though some visitors have found the breakfast itself inconsistent.

Beyond the hotel, tram stops are close by, making it easy to reach Old Trafford and other attractions without needing a car, and there are pubs and restaurants nearby for evenings out. Parking isn't on site, but chargeable parking is available a short walk away at Radclyffe Car Park on Phoebe Street, with signs directing drivers into the underground car park. An electric vehicle charge point is also available for those who need it.

One of the better travelodges I've been to. The room was spacious, clean and warm. Reception was friendly but breakfast wasn't as good as it could have been (frozen fruit salad and lack of choice for eggs) but still better than the golden arches. It also has a bar and the restaurant also does evening meals although I didn't try them. It's also within walking distance to Coronation Street experience and media city

I booked this very last minute as had to travel to be in Manchester for a meeting early next morning. Arrived very late around 1am in the morning. Front staff were pretty decent got me into my room quickly enough. Upon arrival at the room as soon as I opened the door I was met with an unmistakable stench of urine. The room had a foul odour of urine like someone had urinated all over the carpet. Really threw me off unfortunately. Slept with the window open all night as it was impossible to mask the smell. So with the noises of cars passing by and other guests in the hallways (very thin walls) it weren't the most peaceful night I've had. Room was okay, no toiletries in the bathroom i won't complain too much as I know it's a very budget hotel however for the room to smell like that it is completely unacceptable. As soon as I opened the door it hit me. That was the main caveat I suppose. One other noteworthy detail is you have to pay for the parking nearby which is expected I suppose.

A really nice budget hotel. Staff were lovely. Incredibly kind and helpful. Rooms were clean. Beds comfortable. Coffee and milk provided. I wish there was a little more storage for clothes - there were a few hangers but that’s all. Although, of course, it’s a hotel designed for short stays so understandable. Our only issue was the shower - you cannot change the temperature (or if you could i couldn’t figure it out). This meant that it was freezing first stepping in, but by the time I had finished washing my hair it was soo hot! We were there during the heatwave so this wasn’t ideal haha. Breakfast was nice. Staff checking everything regularly. The pizza was really good, too. The hotels in a good position. There are multiple transport options close by for you to get into the city. We used ubers though because we’re lazy, and most trips were in between £3-5. Also, about a 10 minute walk away is a nice little bar called the Bee Orchid, right on the waterfront, which I would definitely recommend.

Great for the price. Good location right near media city. Plenty of shops nearby including aldi litterally 20 metres from the door, plenty of restaurants as well. Easy access to media city, old trafford or the city centre. Rooms and breakfast are standard for travelodge. Staff friendly and helpful. Watched the football in the bar area last night (11/7) and was a nice atmosphere. I used the hotel for a concert at Bowlers exhibition centre / BEC / Outbreak and it is a 10 minute drive
