About White Hill Farm Caravan Park

White Hill Farm Caravan Park sits in the Wiltshire countryside just outside Salisbury, offering a straightforward, friendly base for exploring Stonehenge, the cathedral city, and the surrounding chalk downlands. The site welcomes families and dogs, with electric hook-ups available and the bonus of campfires allowed—a rarity that campers particularly appreciate on cooler evenings. WiFi keeps you connected when needed, and the year-round opening means it's there for off-season escapes too.

Reviews praise the helpful, accommodating owners and the peaceful rural setting, though some note the facilities can feel a touch basic and dated in places. It's not a bells-and-whistles site, but for those after unpretentious camping with good access to Salisbury's attractions and the wider Wiltshire landscape, White Hill Farm delivers exactly what it promises.

Was ok, adequate for the price. Showers were filthy, slimy floors and mouldy curtains and weren't cleaned the whole time we were there, the toilets were ok which is weird because there is the same block. WiFi didn't reach most of the barn field. There is a scaffolding company operating from the site (2 large sheds in between the field and shower block) wasn't much of a problem as long as you don't mind being woken before 6am with the clanging of pipes, even on Sunday when there doesn't seem to be anyone working? A biker club meet up there a couple of times a week, again not really a problem they were respectful of others and mostly gone before 11pm. There is know one on site, just a code to get in and a phone number, again not really a problem, but nobody to intervene when there is a group of people playing loud music past midnight. In all it was a weird experience, it didn't spoil our holiday but definitely won't be back

Oh dear and it started so well. Saturday morning. Not sure that being woken up by a scaffolding ( name will remain anonymous ) company at 5:30am banging and clattering in the barn next to the entrance where the tent pitches are located for over an hour and half is the peace and quiet we expected. Not brilliant 👎🏾 Even taking into account it's a farm/equine. On a positive note.. Very easy place to get to and the pitches are a good side adequate for a large tent or caravan. The evening was relaxed and quiet with the odd car or van passing on the track outside. The location is nice and excellent for caravans. The shower block is clean and tidy, well presented. The water is warm and welcoming and very well set out. . . . Rooms are serviced not rated as there are no rooms and we have not seen any staff of the site yet.

We stayed here on pitch 6a for the end of May bank holiday weekend, as we planned to visit Beaulieu for the VW show at the National Motor Museum. On arrival the grass touring section near the entrance is tidy, to the rear of the barn seems to be where the 'residents' stay and is a little less desirable. There were 3 showers, a separate wash room and 3 toilets in the ladies (I assume similar in the mens). There was an odour, but there was an air freshener and the place seemed clean, although the silicone/edges of the shower cubicle could be updated as could the toilet seats as these have yellowed. There was also one broken lock on the toilet door but the showers themselves looked new. If I were to pick holes, the outside door on the inside could have done with a wipe. The scaffolders who store on site arrived back early evening and there was some clattering which wasn't an issue. They did go out over the weekend early morning but minimal disturbance. Otherwise the site is quiet and rural, about 15 minutes from Salisbury and 40 mins to Southampton.

Not great for touring, most of the site seemed to filled with permanent residents. More of a working builders yard than farm. we spent many years camping before having a motorhome and he used to basic facilities, but these are tired and were certainly not clean
