About The Old Railway Hotel Porton
Families breaking a journey, golfers heading to nearby courses, or walkers exploring the Wiltshire countryside will find The Old Railway Hotel Porton a practical base on Station Approach in Salisbury. It's the sort of place built for easy, unfussy stays rather than special occasions, though it does double as a wedding venue with meeting rooms on hand for those who need them.
Rooms come with en-suite bathrooms, drinks available in room, and free WiFi throughout. Breakfast is served on site, and the restaurant and bar cover meals through the day, with a snack bar and kids' meals for those travelling with children. Outdoor seating in the garden gives a spot to relax, and 24-hour reception means arrival times are flexible. Pets are welcome, and free on-site parking makes it convenient for drivers.
The surrounding area suits an active stay, with cycling and walking routes close by, plus golf, fishing and horse riding within reach for those wanting to fill their days outdoors. Come evening, nearby pubs and restaurants provide options beyond the hotel's own menu. It's a comfortable, no-frills choice for getting out and about around Salisbury.
