Family friendly, camping, touring and glamping, some with private hot tubs! Ten minutes from Scarborough.
About Pinewood Park
Just ten minutes from Scarborough's seafront, Pinewood Park strikes a nice balance between convenience and breathing space. The site welcomes tents, tourers and glampers alike – some pitches even come with their own private hot tubs if you fancy a bit of indulgence after a day exploring the coast. Families are well catered for, and with electric hook-ups, showers and year-round opening, it's a practical base whatever the season.
Dogs are welcome, which is a bonus for those travelling with four-legged friends. The facilities cover the essentials without much in the way of frills, but that suits the straightforward, unfussy vibe. It's the kind of place that works well for a short break: close enough to Scarborough's attractions and beaches, yet tucked away enough to feel like a proper escape.

What visitors say
What a great place, ideally situated for the great North Yorkshire coast. We're here now staying in the helicopter which is amazing. It's September so it's cold at night, make sure you bring warm clothes and layers. I can imagine it's fabulous in the summer when it's a bit warmer. The park is lovely, great facilities and I would return

Booked the couples retreat for my daughters 21st birthday suprise. The booking process was easy and straightforward. The owners allowed us to sneak in before check in to decorate and to take in the food hampers and disposable bbqs. They were so friendly, welcoming and helpful. We didn't need any bedding as it was all included in this luxury glamping lodge. The park was secure as guests have to bypass the reception to gain entry and outside visitors are not allowed. The fairy lights and hot tub was such a lovely touch and created an amazing ambience. My daughter said the bed was so comfy and the hot tub was the perfect temperature on arrival. The room was spacious, clean and had everything needed. It had a separate cosy kitchenette and beautiful handmade table and chairs in the window. The couples retreat is cleverly positioned therefore it was not overlooked offering complete privacy in the cabin and the patio garden and hot tub area. The owners were on hand if ever needed and could not have made her birthday stay any better. The price was fantastic, especially during the Easter holidays. This was our second booking at Pinewood Park and we will definitely be back for another visit to try the Sea King helicopters next time. Th ak you for all your help and making this stay so special.

A week ago we stayed in the family retreat lodge. Nothing was too much for Kerry. A lovely warm welcome and even helped to carry some of our bags, to show us where we was staying. It was amazing with a family jacuzzi. It was spotlessly clean and cosy. There was a variety of accommodation to choose from and all maintained at high standards. The site was well maintained and the toilet / shower block was spotless too. This was the best camp site we have stayed at and definitely will return.

Start with the negatives then some positives. We stayed in the helicopter for two nights and unfortunately we were in the middle one that had no propellers fitted (they are stored underneath) my son is aircraft/ vehicle crazy he's 4 and it was the only reason we booked this 2 night stay. He couldnt get over the fact it had no propellers. At one point he said she thinks it's a submarine 😅 which i get, don't get me wrong its still cool looking and he still loved it but it definitely took the shine off a bit. I really wish we had one of the other two that had propellers for his sake. The helicopter was tilted forward and to the right, you could really feel this walking around and when laying in bed. It would certainly benifit from being leveled off. The shower fitted inside absolutely stunk. We opened the door and tried not to open it again. It smells like its been used as a urinal in the past and the pipes need changing or it simply doesn't have a U-bend on it maybe? There's no accessories, like cups, plates, utensils and pots or pans. There's a microwave, fridge and a kettle. Seemed odd and is little use without everything else you generally need. Good stuff, The park was very quiet and clean. Showers and toilets are clean and nice to use. The helicopter its self was cool we loved the stay. I just feel at 200 a night it needs just a little more thought/attention to detail. To take it from a good experience to a brilliant experience. If you are a regular camper you need to pack like you are going in the tent except you dont need the tent or air bed. If you are a regular glamper you might feel like you are roughing it for the time you stay. And you'll be packing more than usual. If they added the things you normally get with a glamp to make it so you can just turn up without packing so much I would be inclined to go again but with so many fantastic glamping spots around for the same or less money I feel this is a one off memory maker experience while the kids are young.
