Scalby Lodge – Castle View is a four-bedroom cottage sleeping eight on the North Yorkshire coast near Scarborough. The entire ground floor is given over to one open-plan living space: a sitting area with woodburner and Freeview TV opens through French doors to the garden, with the dining and kitchen areas flowing from it. The kitchen has an electric oven, hob, dishwasher and all the basics for self-catering. Upstairs, three of the four bedrooms have their own ensuite shower rooms – one kingsize and two singles in one, another kingsize in another, and a fourth bedroom with two more single beds served by a separate bathroom with bath and shower.
The property is yours alone, with a private car park and an enclosed garden complete with seating and a barbecue. Wi-Fi, electricity, bed linen, towels and wood for the burner are included. One well-behaved pet is welcome. There is a games room with pool table, books, DVDs and toys available to guests, and a children's play area on the wider Scalby Lodge site. The clifftop location puts you within reach of coastal walks, the North York Moors, and the attractions of Scarborough itself. Smoking is not permitted inside.

Stunning location, great views, good to get away from everything Park and Pool Room/games for kids too but more ideal for an Adults break.

This was a good place to stay. A few issues seating areas outside very very basic. Barbecue area was a waste of time if you are spending £3,000 for a week you expect better. I'm trying to think if what good about the inside made up for the outside, don't know if it did for the price

Our 4th visit here now. Lovely experience every time. Immaculately clean, beautiful welcome pack, very comfortable furniture, amazing views. My only gripe is that check out is 9.30 am (check in is 4pm). This is very early for a family of 8, especially compared to other holiday accommodations.
