About Albemarle Hotel
A drink at the bar is a good way to end the day at Albemarle Hotel, which sits on Albemarle Crescent in Scarborough. The 20 rooms are straightforward and comfortable, making the hotel a practical base rather than a destination in itself, and free WiFi is available throughout for anyone needing to stay connected.
Guests get free on-site parking, a useful extra in a town where space near the seafront can be tight, along with 24 hour reception and luggage storage for early arrivals or late departures. Pets are welcome too, so the trip needn't mean leaving the dog behind.
Scarborough's beaches and historic attractions are within easy reach, making the Albemarle a sensible choice for exploring the town by day and returning to a bar and a quiet room by night.
What guests say
We stayed last night for an event at the OAT, perfect location, everything is in walking distance. I don’t understand how this place has any bad reviews, the rooms are slightly outdated but they are spotless. Beds so comfortable and staff were incredible. Nothing was too much trouble for Jonathan, he goes out his way to ensure guests are happy and is such a lovely guy to deal with too. Thank you so much. Highly recommend and we’ll definitely be back! ☺️

I stayed at this hotel, in 1998, for a few day's, with my gran. We got put in a bedroom the size of a shoe box. Was hardly any room to move. You could only fit a wardrobe and a bedroom in the room. That's how tiny it was. 🫤

Budget hotel, but clean and tidy, staff were very helpful and friendly, very close to the town and 20 minute walk from the open air theatre.

Classic, old school lodging in a great location. Fantastic off-season price. Offers several rooms in what feels like a British gran’s house in central Scarborough. Staff is exceptionally friendly and helpful (although you may have to ring them to find them). My room was on the main floor and was sparkling clean, comfy bed, small loo, view of nearby buildings. Bit of hallway noise but not frequent. Great location for the Scarborough railway station and/or if you’re seeing a show at Stephen James Theatre. For the location, comfort, and value, I would definitely stay again for a night or two.
