About Premier Inn Scarborough South Bay

Seventy-four rooms across four floors make Premier Inn Scarborough South Bay a solid base on Falconer Road, close enough to South Bay beach and the harbour to reach both on foot along with the town centre attractions nearby.

Rooms come with en-suite bathrooms, air conditioning, and large TVs, and there's a bar and drinks available in-room too. Accessible rooms are available, and a lift serves all floors. Downstairs there's a restaurant and breakfast on offer, plus 24 hour reception for whenever you arrive. Some rooms show signs of wear, so don't expect everything to be pristine, but the beds are a comfortable semi-firm and staff are consistently described as friendly and helpful.

On-site parking is available for a charge. Beyond the hotel there's plenty to fill a stay by the coast, from golf and fishing to horse riding and watersports, along with pubs, bars, and restaurants within easy reach. Prices range from £39 to £150 depending on when you visit.

Stayed here over the bank holiday weekend for scooter run with the family, nice size room for two adults and two children. Staff fantastic on reception to check inn and provide information needed. The first evening we stayed in the room early as children couldn’t go in many of the bars even for food after a certain time, no room service for food and it’s a good walk when your room is right next to the reception. Food was just ordered to the bar from staff and expected to carry two meals at a time including cutlery while balancing doors on way back to room! I also hadn’t been feeling well over the weekend so had t eaten breakfast two mornings but gone down with the family. I ask a young male staff member if it was possible to have a take a paper cup just to take a coffee back to the room his response “ if I give you a cup to take out people will start putting bacon in boxes and making pack lunches to take out. You can buy a coffee to take back to your room”. Very rude gent who had watched me struggle with the little ones at 7:30 for breakfast. Also none of the normal offers from the menus which was out in the table where allowed due to it being the bank holiday just the full price menu! I would also recommend for the aircon to be checked out in ROOM 5 as 3 out of 4 of us have all ended up with a cough, blocked nose and sore throats which I definitely put down to be no fresh air in the hotel! You’re at the coast and you can’t even open your window for fresh air as they have no handles, I do generally think this is what made us all poorly. Clean room, extra towels provided at reception no questions and staff very kind to the children when seen. Room 5 family room definitely needs an open window with the hotel being so warm especially on an evening.

A great stay, the staff here were very friendly, helpful and lovely. Was a last minute booking but so quick and easy to do and get our room! Nice hotel with plenty things nearby to visit and do. Honestly they’re great help too, you’re able to leave your luggage with them before and after staying incase you want to go off and explore the nearby places. They kept our bags for us with no charge needed as we were booked to stay here. Had easy access to the wifi. This place saved our stay and couldn’t recommend it enough! In all honesty originally we were booked to stay at the Grand Hotel but it was dreadful and they couldn’t keep our luggage there This premier inn I will definitely be booking back in whenever I next visit scarborough, great place

V good modern hotel. Thought the small premium for a Premier Plus rooms was worth it to get air con (note doesnt come as standard in basic rooms and a fridge). Comfy bed and enjoyed breakfast at onsite Brewers Fayre despite some negative comments from others, we couldn't fault. Special thanks to Jackie who was very helpful including a minor issue with our original room. Note as others have said reception is near McDonalds and a handy One Stop shop (owned by Tesco) is next door.

Premier Inns are a budget hotel so I don't expect much. However a panoramic view of the bin store and staff smoking area through a dirty window with bird crap across it wasn't the best start. The room was clean & tidy, the shower powerful and the water hot. The food however was awful, I purchased a meal deal for dinner through Premier Inn (so their responsibility). The food was from the adjacent Brewers Fayre. Having eaten at other sites where this arrangement is operated I thought I knew what I was signing up for, however.... Do not buy the meal deal. This Brewers Fayre is awful. I gave them 1 star in my review of them. Premier Inn you need to have a chat with your Business Partners.
