About Ryndle Court Hotel

Ryndle Court Hotel suits guests after an uncomplicated, no-fuss stay in Scarborough rather than a boutique experience. With 24 rooms, it works well for couples, older travellers or those visiting on golfing or fishing trips who want a comfortable base without frills. Rooms are simply decorated with en-suite bathrooms, and the hotel keeps a 24 hour reception for guests coming and going at odd hours.

There's a restaurant and bar on site, along with a garden and patio seating for sitting outside when the weather allows, plus breakfast available each morning and free WiFi throughout. Free parking is included, which makes it a practical choice for anyone arriving by car rather than relying on the town's own parking.

The hotel sits within reach of Scarborough Castle and the wider local attractions, with a golf course, fishing spots, watersports, pubs, bars and other restaurants all nearby. It's a straightforward option for exploring the town without needing to travel far from where you're staying.

The room was large, warm and comfortable, although it was a double and we booked a twin. The breakfast was really nice. The staff were friendly and welcoming. The hotel was in a good place to visit peasholme park and the beach.

Plus points: Friendly Staff, nice clean good quality bed linen, nice sized room for a single, nice clean dining room. Minus points No skimmed milk, although I kept asking I ended up buying my own No toilet brush and the toilet looked as if it had not been cleaned all season, I borrowed a brush from another room Came back from being out and thought the coffee mug had been washed but no, just turned upside down on tray without being cleaned Coffee tray itself was filthy Kettle was disgusting, I went and bought descaler and treated kettle myself before I felt comfortable using it Went for breakfast and came back to find staff had been in to empty the bin in both mine and my friends rooms and not re-locked either of the door, all valuables and handbags still in the rooms. Door locks were dreadful to try and open from the outside, there appeared to be a few rooms with this same problem. Coffee drips down front of drawers which needed washing down. Chair frame was filthy, people have obviously spilled things on it and it has never been cleaned up. carpet could do with stretching out as there was a large rut in it which could have been dangerous for anyone with walking problems. Just generally not clean which was a shame and thinking about these issues not worth the £50 per night charged. I could not in all honesty recommend staying here.

We stayed as a last minute family of 4 booking on Sunday for the night. We arrived around 7.30pm to find that our original room we had booked had been changed so we was put into a different room (room 18) We was told to go upstairs and our room was on the right (it wasn't) we got up 2 flights of stairs to then find we was actually up another flight of stairs in the attic room. The door was hard to unlock, inside the room it was clean-ish as in it had been hoovered and the beds was made, dusty and cobwebs on the ceiling, the toilet had a poo and dirty toilet paper left down it from whoever had been in before, dried poo stains also around the pot, hairs on the bathroom floor, no toilet roll in the bathroom, the shower was stuck on by green tape, REALLY loud toilet when flushed, no toiletries as stated there would be. A kettle was on a dressing table with 1 cup and 1 glass that was all. Outdated hairdryer, beds was comfortable and clean white bedding. When we came back downstairs from seeing our room there was nobody around to complain to, we ended up going out and buying toilet roll for the room. We was told breakfast was served between 7.30am and 9.30am, when we got down stairs just after 8 we was greeted by a woman who showed us to a table and took our breakfast order, breakfast was enjoyable (a full English and a egg on toast with beans and 2x cooco pops) we told the woman about the room who applogised and brought out a bag of snacks for the way home,we left just after 9,check out was 10.30am. We paid £103 to stay and it wasn't worth it at all. We also got stuck in the car park because a van blocked our car in. Outdated, dusty and overall just not worth the money.

Giving this 5 stars due to stopping here before for quite a few years. Sadly we couldn't get a room this time as it was fully booked, this probably goes to show what a good hotel it is. Conclusion Our review is based on past experiences as sadly we couldn't get a room this time, all our best to Ryndle Court Hotel Hope to see you again soon.
