The Albert

We was recommended to come here for our Sunday lunch, we didn't book but they quickly found us a table. The food is first class all fresh vegetables and the beef and turkey were cooked to perfection.we helped ourselves to the roast potatoes,mash carrots and cabbage,the Yorkshire puddings were massive and the gravy was delicious just like the rest of the meal. Then we sat in the beer garden which was beautifully set out,we got talking to a lovely couple for about an hour before we left. Friendly staff here too.

Lovely pub run by lovely people and offering a great B&B too. The rooms are of a decent size with a very comfortable king sized bed. There's hanging space for clothes with hangers, a kettle and the usual complimentary tea, coffee and biscuits etc. The en suite was a good size and very clean, towels are provided. A separate side entrance is provided to avoid going through the pub should you wish and we didn't have any pub noise or disturbance. A great full English breakfast was welcoming us the next morning. Very sociable and competent staff made our stay enjoyable and we would certainly stay again. Car parking to the rear of pub. Overall a great place to stay and we thoroughly recommend 👌

I'm not from Scarborough, and I've only been to The Albert recently (since before Covid) a handful of times in the last couple of weeks, mostly on a Sunday evening/night to support my friend who sings/entertains, but there's a good selection of drinks at competitive prices, a really lovely beer garden, quick service by pleasant, attentive, welcoming staff, with plenty of space, and a variety of seating options. I have no idea if there's accommodation nor if there is, what it's like so no rating given, and the location is a fair bit distant off my "usual tracks", so I knocked a star off my rating merely for that. But I'd certainly recommend The Albert as a good place to go👍

Brilliant wee pub. Great quality pints and dog friendly. When we arrived the barmaid noticed we had a dog and asked if the dog would like a drink. Lovely beer garden out the back aswell. Would definitely visit again.
