About The Whiteley

Scarborough Castle and the seafront are both within easy reach of The Whiteley, on Queens Parade in North Yorkshire, making it a handy base for exploring the town on foot. Walkers can head straight out along the coast, while golf, fishing and watersports are all nearby for those wanting more active days out, and pubs, restaurants and other entertainment are close by for the evenings.

Rooms come with en-suite bathrooms, drinks available in room, and sea views from parts of the property. Breakfast is included to set guests up for the day, and free WiFi is available throughout. There's a garden and outdoor seating for relaxing when not out exploring, plus 24 hour reception for flexible arrivals and departures.

Free on-site parking is provided, which is a genuine convenience in a seaside town where space can be tight. With the castle, beach and town centre all within walking distance, The Whiteley suits guests who want to leave the car behind once they've arrived.

Having just spent the Easter break at the Whiteley. I have to say the new hosts. Jon & Emma, who have just acquired the Hotel. Have firstly made a lovely job of sprucing the place up. And are really welcoming and will do their upmost to make your stay memorable. The family room we had was lovely & spacious. And finally the breakfast was available in different options, all locally soured. Very nice.

Beautiful window view and lovely check-in. We felt very welcomed. The location is not directly in the center of Scarborough but everything can be reached fairly quickly by foot. The breakfast room has ocean view and is very cozy. Our room was very small. We could not really walk around at the same time without ending up in each others way. The bed squeaked when laying down or moving, and the ceiling was occupied by around 5 or 6 medium sized spiders. Furthermore, it took a while till the water in shower was warm enough. Water pressure was great though. And the room was very clean and stocked up with a more than sufficient amount of tea, instant coffee, milk, and biscuits. We stayed for 2 nights and had a good time.

Stayed overnight and I'm happy to recommend. My room was lovely and clean, with a seaview, and I received a warm welcome. There was a desk fan and 2 bottles of water, along with the standard tray, which was a thoughtful touch, as it was sweltering! I even got to borrow a phone charger after realising I'd forgotten mine! I'm not a breakfast person, but can honestly say, it smelled gorgeous and the dining room has a stunning view of the sea. I'll definitely book to stay again!
