What visitors say
I had a really upsetting experience on April 6th, 2026 that completely ruined what was supposed to be a special family outing. We had been looking forward to this movie the entire week. It was supposed to be a great family movie, something we were all excited about. I even made a conscious decision not to book tickets online, even though they were cheaper, because I wanted to be absolutely sure everything would be fine. I chose to go to the theatre in person, pay a higher price, and confirm directly at the counter so there would be no issues later. I went there 3 hours in advance and clearly asked the staff if my 3-year-old child would be allowed to watch the movie with us. They told me it was fine. While I was asking these questions and booking the tickets, a female staff member was standing nearby and observing everything. She could clearly see that I was confirming the details about my child and the movie, yet she said nothing at that time. Based on the assurance given, I bought the tickets and stayed there waiting with my family for hours. But just when we were about to enter, that same staff member came from her counter to the entrance and stopped us, saying the movie is rated 15+ and my child was not allowed inside. I honestly cannot describe how frustrating and disheartening that moment was. After planning everything, waiting for hours, and trusting their confirmation, we were turned away at the last minute. My child was confused and disappointed and as a family, we felt completely let down. We had to suddenly change our plans, and the excitement we had all week turned into frustration and sadness. What hurts the most is that this could have been avoided so easily. She had every opportunity to correct the mistake when we were booking the tickets but chose not to say anything. Instead, we were stopped only at the final moment after wasting hours. The most frustrating part is , same thing happened to another family too. I understand the rules and regulations. If i was informed before we would haven't waited for 3 hrs and made some other plans and enjoyed the day. This experience showed a serious lack of communication, accountability, and basic customer care. It wasted our time, our money, and ruined a special family moment. I left feeling frustrated, disappointed, and honestly quite depressed after how everything turned out. I would not trust their service again unless they fix these basic issues.

Our favorite regular family day out! We come to the Vue Cinema in Scunthorpe at least twice a month with the family, and it is always a great day out at a very reasonable price. The cinema is always clean, the temperature inside the screens is absolutely perfect, and the staff are consistently helpful and friendly. Parking is also a breeze using the multi-storey. It’s a fantastic, reliable place for the family and highly recommended!

First time coming to this cinema as I have a Vue discount for food and drink, and tickets thanks to Monzo. Was very impressed with everything from start to finish. The staff are very friendly and informative, showing which screen I needed to get to. I got myself a regular combo with regular popcorn, a bag of fruit pastilles and a Pepsi and I also got 10% off thanks to Monzo. I like the seating, you can recline so you’re not craning your neck when sat at the front rows. I’ve knocked a star off because the ladies toilets were dirty in some cubicles but clean in others. I like the location, next to the bus station so I can get back to Lincoln. Will be coming again definitely.

Cinema was clean and chairs offered space and comfort with the option to recline. Film was good with good surround sound, the usual 20 mins of trailers/adverts. Popcorn left a little to be desired and ++expensive for the smallest size.

People say this cinema offers a great sound system and comfortable, spacious reclining chairs, with clean screens and facilities. They also highlight the friendly staff, reasonable ticket prices, and convenient free parking.
Some reviews mention the staff can be unhelpful.
