Digger’s Cottage
Scottish Borders
Digger's Cottage comes with everything you need for a self-catering stay. The kitchen has an electric cooker, microwave and fridge-freezer, so you can cook proper meals. Heating, electricity, bed linen and towels are all covered. WiFi keeps you connected, and there's parking for two cars on site. A bike store is useful if you want to explore by two wheels.
The cottage sleeps four across two bedrooms—a double upstairs and two singles on the ground floor—with two bathrooms between them. Downstairs, the open-plan living space has a TV and CD player, with French doors opening onto a decked area where you can sit outside. Upstairs, the double bedroom also has a TV. The grounds include a fenced burn.
Location-wise, you're 20 miles south of Edinburgh in countryside with field views, but close enough to reach the city's museums, restaurants and shops. A pub and restaurant are within a mile. The Southern Upland Way is nearby for hill walkers, and the Borders abbeys are accessible; the beach at Gullane is further afield. No smoking indoors.
