Heather Cottage

Heather Cottage works well for couples, small families, or groups of four who don't mind sharing a bedroom or using the living room sofa bed. The cottage is a traditional two-storey house in Lauder, near the Lauderdale Hotel, with a private garden and on-road parking. Everything you need for a self-catering stay is provided: heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and wifi are all included.

Downstairs, the living room has a TV and comfortable seating, plus a sofa bed that sleeps two adults. The kitchen is fully equipped for cooking—electric oven and hob, fridge-freezer, microwave and coffee machine—and there's a washing machine for longer stays. Upstairs, the double bedroom offers a dressing table and storage, with a hairdryer provided. The bathroom has a bath with overhead shower. A cot and highchair are available if needed.

The Scottish Borders are accessible in all directions from here; Edinburgh is 30 minutes away by car or bus, and the scenic railway station is five miles off. Lauder itself has shops, pubs and restaurants within a five-minute walk. The cottage is non-smoking, and one well-behaved pet is welcome.
