Ploughman’s Rest

Ploughman's Rest occupies the ground and first floors of a converted farmhouse near Peebles. Downstairs, the open-plan living space combines kitchen, dining and lounge in one room, with a double bedroom and shower room also at ground level. A spiral staircase leads to a second double bedroom upstairs. The cottage sleeps four and is yours alone for the duration of your stay.

The kitchen is fully equipped for self-catering, with electric hob, oven, microwave, dishwasher and washing machine. Bed linen, towels, Wi-Fi and heating are included. On-site parking fits two cars. A welcome pack of tea, coffee and homemade biscuits arrives with you. The Scottish Borders are known for cycling, and the cottage caters well for it: there is secure bike storage and a drying rack for wet gear. No smoking inside; one well-behaved dog or cat can stay free of charge.

Peebles lies a short drive away. A pub is within a mile of the farmhouse.
