Though dogs aren't allowed inside the cabin itself, this is firmly canine-friendly territory—an adjacent heated kennel accommodates up to five dogs, with an enclosed exercise area. The location is ideal for walkers and mountain bikers tackling Glentress trails, and Peebles' shops, cafés, and pubs are just ten minutes by car. A bus route runs nearby for those leaving the car behind. Expect a rural retreat that balances seclusion with easy access to amenities.

Lovely surroundings and a very comfortable property with everything you need provided. The garage / kennel building is great for motorbikes/ bike storage on your trip a day of course your dogs. Would highly recommend if you are exploring borders and beyond .

Spent 3 nights at Smiddyhill Lodge on a recent trip to explore the local mountain bike trails. The Lodge is ideally located for Glentress and Innerleithen with a quiet link road running along the canal to avoid the busy road. The lodge was very clean, comfortable and had a very well stocked kitchen. Would highly recommend.

Great place to stay for a few days. Lodge has everything you need including decent broadband. Garage is useful for storing bikes. Glentress mountain bike centre is just a mile away. Only let down is the main road running close by. Pretty noisy at busy times

Superb lodge about 3Km from Innerleithen. Excellent base for exploring the Scottish Borders and beyond. Lodge has all the amenities you require including garage and kennels. Julie has done a fantastic job presenting the lodge exceeded our expectations.
