The Granary comes with everything you need already in place. Electricity, bed linen and towels are included, along with initial logs for the wood burner. The kitchen has a Rayburn, dishwasher, microwave and fridge-freezer, so cooking and cleaning are straightforward. Upstairs, the living room opens onto a patio through French doors, with a woodburner for colder evenings and a sofa bed if extra sleeping space helps. Two bedrooms downstairs hold a double and two singles. The bathroom has a bath with shower over and a heated towel rail. One dog is welcome in the property.
The cottage sits on a working hillside establishment within 75 acres of shared woodland grounds, with parking for three cars on site. Jedburgh—with pubs, restaurants and historical sites—is 2 miles away. Melrose and Kelso, both worth visiting, are nearby. A train from Tweedbank connects to Edinburgh for a day out. The grounds here are also home to Les Amis D'Onno, an equine and canine stunt team; they arrange activities for guests including dog training and photo shoots. Walking straight from the cottage into the surrounding farm and woodland is a genuine draw for this part of the Scottish Borders.
