What visitors say
What a place! Our first stay in a camping pod too! The pods are basic but spotlessly clean and it was useful to have electricity hook-up for charging our phones etc. There is space for a double and single inflatable mattress inside, a good sized decked area outside with a picnic bench and lots of space for your fire pit and parking between the pods. The site is large, clean and offers beautiful views. The camping and caravan pitches are arranged around a facilities block offering a small shop, several big camp sinks for washing up and two shower/toilet blocks. The showers and toilets are spotless and you're treated with good quality toilet paper. Showers operate on 50p coins and each cubicle has good space for drying and changing. There is also an information room, open 24hrs, with a freezer for your coolbox blocks, a card operated coffee machine and loads of maps around the area. Nearest village is Austwick, approx 20 min walk along the lanes. There you'll find The Gamecock, a character pub/restaurant serving good French food alongside pub classics. It has its own bakery/patisserie open till 8pm. Staff were helpful and found us a table but it's advisable to book. We stayed midweek at Orcaber Farm so couldn't try the pizza homebaked at the shop on weekends, but we definitely have plans to come back.

Really lovely campsite. Close to the 3 peaks. Exceptionally clean facilities. Little shop on site, reasonably priced. Coffee/tea machine at nominal charge. Showers 50p for 10 mins, with decent hot water! Lovely flat ground for tents. We travelled with a camper van, and another family member in a tent. Our leisure battery ran flat, and the owners were so helpful in letting us recharge for a small fee. Campfires allowed, and free use of fire pits provided, £10 for a decent bag of logs, delivered via owner every evening. Lots of open spaces for children to play. Spaces for caravans, motor homes, campervans and tents. This was our 2nd visit, and will definitely be back! Highly recommended.

What a great site, staff are brilliant and so friendly. Site is amazing for views and location for some great walks. Dog friendly and pizzas on a Saturday are best. 50p for a 10min shower which is more than enough and are hot, the site is probably best one I've been to on how clean and tidy it is. Pitches are a great size and are super pitches on hard standing. Only a 25 min walk to austwick for pubs. 10 out of 10 and definitely going back. Thanks for a great 5 days

Such a gorgeous campsite! All facilities clean and tidy, reasonably priced, and pizza was delicious! Didn’t expect much with the price being cheap but excelled expectations and so much space to park on the non-electric campsite for tents! Will definitely book again
