I went to the beach on the morning of Christmas day, we were mostly alone with a few dog walkers going by and a number parents with their children. Interestingly most of the pathways down to the beach, so we devided to climb over the gate only later to find a pathway down. We enjoyed pur time there, despite it being a little somewhat chilly. My daughters loved finding shells and weird and wonderful looking stones. After a while we decided to return to pur holiday home as the girls felt a bit cold.

Really rocky/shelly sharp beach. It's not very clean on the beach or in the sea. How people are swimming in it is beyond me, even in the warm weather with fairly calm waves it looks filthy. For some reason the main section right off the prom smells really fishy, it's much nicer if you walk up to the right over the wooden rails. Cleaner, doesn't smell & very quiet. Area is a very run down looking seaside road, which is 90% arcades, with a couple of icecream shops, beach toy shops & cafes. One pub right down on the beach which also sells fish & chips, & seafood. Wouldn't return but it was ok for a day or two

This is our home, wouldn't want it any other way. Beautiful skies and views all year round, plenty of walking and dog walking areas, traffic isn't the priority and shellness is a world at the end of the world! Wonderful for raptor watching and wildlife enthusiasts

Only a private beach to the side allows dogs. Tide goes out a long way (visit August). Not the softest sand at the edge, more half crushed shells. Then it appears more of a mud consistency(but I didn't venture there). Nice coastpath good for jogging.
