Leonardo Hotel Sheffield

We booked this room at the last minute, because the hotel we had booked with cancelled our booking while we were on the train to Sheffield. We actually paid £12 less for an executive room, than we would have for our premier plus room, so all in all, not a bad deal. Room was high up and at the back away from traffic so no noise from outside. And our fellow guests didn't disturb us so we had a peaceful night. We'd definitely consider staying here again. Good location. Handy for town and 10-15 minutes walk from the station.

Do NOT order food from here. Really poor for a 4* hotel. Ordered a small and sharing plate of belly pork bites. You got 4 really small pieces of fat for £8.50. Nothing sharing about it .order a ploughman’s and it came as a ham a cheese sandwich. Ordered 2 cocktails and the bar staff didn’t have a clue. Sent those back as they tasted like crap. Don’t waste your money or time coming in here for food and drinks.

Very handy for the Sheffield town centre and station, and for Hallam University. Slightly further from Sheffield University, but still walking distance, and the shopping streets, cafes and restaurants are on your doorstep, as is the Crucible. The hotel is friendly and welcoming, and the rooms are a decent size. I had a mark on one towel which wasn't perfect, but everything else was pretty great. We paid in advance for breakfast, and again: it is decent. Nothing to write home about, but plentiful. It is the second time we have stayed here - it is really good value for money, there is parking available. Slightly tricky to get to by car because of the one way streets but that's not the hotel's fault! We will probably stay here again when we are next in Sheffield.

Disappointing stay I have travelled to many Leanardo chain hotels and this was by far my least enjoyable stay. I stayed for 2 nights. The room did not meet my expectations. Firstly there were noticeable stains on the bedside lamps and the bedside tables were dirty. The towels had a stain. The bathroom was extremely small. You would have to close the door just to use the toilet. Shower pressure was terrible and temp was inconsistent. Shower had a lot of rust. Toilet seat had permanent stains. I was not comfortable in the room at all. On a positive side, the bed was comfortable and breakfast was very pleasant. Staff were friendly. It’s a shame the room was such a let down. Defiantly not 5 star and I unfortunately wouldn’t recommend Stayed at room 108
