About Novotel Sheffield Centre

The Winter Garden, the Crucible Theatre and the Millennium Gallery are all within walking distance, and Sheffield Station is an easy stroll too, making Novotel Sheffield Centre a practical base for exploring the city centre on foot. The surrounding streets have plenty of pubs, restaurants and entertainment nearby, so evenings don't require a car.

The hotel has 144 rooms with en-suite bathrooms, air conditioning and family options, though some rooms do run warm, so it's worth requesting a cooler room if that matters to you. There's a restaurant and bar on site, along with a snack bar, room service and drinks in the room, and breakfast covers a good range including cooked options. Facilities extend to an indoor swimming pool, a gym, a spa and sauna, plus meeting rooms and business services for those combining work with a stay.

Staff are consistently helpful, and the central location means golf courses and further dining options are also within reach nearby. On-site parking is available for a charge, and pets are welcome, making this a flexible choice for a range of visits to Sheffield.

I stayed here Sunday through to today and overall the place is ok. Staff on the whole seemed a little uninterested but that could be just be me perceiving them wrong. Answers seemed to be quite short and blunt. Lift to reception is incredibly violent on arrival to the ground or first floor. It jolts quite noticeably. Room was very spacious but felt quite dated. The lack of a smart TV was fine but would have been nice. We had an accessible room with an accessible bathroom and the floor got drenched to quite a strong degree after a shower. You very much had to be careful or else you'd risk slipping. All other standard things were present. Safe, iron, hairdryer etc. The addition to plug in an ethernet cable was a nice little extra that many hotels seem to overlook. I felt £18 to park overnight was extortionate (although not your fault due to a third-party managing the car park) the code system to get out also played up a little though worked in the end. Overall, I'm unsure on whether I'd stay here again.

Emily at the bar/restaurant is so friendly and lovely. Nothing is too much trouble for her. Constantly smiling and very polite. Gabor at the bar/restaurant was really helpful, very professional and polite. Just like Emily, nothing was too much trouble and both are very welcoming and attentive. A great little team.

This hotel is well located with great amenities. The rooms are generous in size with the addition of a sofa and fridge. The shower pressure was good and the WiFi slowed me to stream with my phone which was a bonus with Chromecast for the TV. I had a warm welcome and the staff throughout the stay were friendly and helpful. The rooms and common areas were well maintained.
