About Premier Inn Sheffield Meadowhall
Sheffield Road sits within easy reach of the M1 at junction 34, close to the Meadowhall Shopping Centre, and it's this position that makes Premier Inn Sheffield Meadowhall a practical base for visiting the area. The surrounding stretch is well served by transport links, with parking taken care of on-site and free of charge.
The hotel has 103 en-suite rooms across three floors, served by a lift, with accessible rooms available and drinks provided in-room. Rooms are generally clean, comfortable and spacious, though some guests have noted the absence of air conditioning. A restaurant on site serves breakfast and evening meals, both well regarded, and reception operates around the clock. Staff are consistently described as friendly and helpful.
Beyond the retail draw of Meadowhall, the area offers a golf course, fishing, horse riding and entertainment nearby, along with a pub or bar for an evening drink. It's a straightforward, well-located stop for shopping trips or journeys along the M1.
What guests say
First of all, the location is excellent. Meadowhall is only a 10-minute walk away, so you're spoiled for choice when it comes to shopping and places to eat. The room itself was clean and tidy, and as usual I've never had any issues with the Premier Inn standard of accommodation. Unfortunately, the breakfast was a real let-down. The hotel had clearly been very busy, with several dance groups staying the night before, but the breakfast service simply wasn't prepared for the demand. Staff were rushing around trying their best, but food was constantly running out and anything that was brought out was gone within minutes. In my opinion, they needed a larger buffet station and a few more staff members to cope with the volume of guests. As I was on a work trip and needed a quick breakfast before leaving, all I managed to get was one egg, one sausage and some beans before items ran out again. Overall, the stay was good and the location is fantastic, but the breakfast experience was disappointing and could definitely be improved.

Family room was decent size and very clean. Bathroom was clean and tidy. The floorboards are quite creaky and the people about must have been trying to get their steps in as they were almost constantly walking across the floor until about 230am. Despite being on the road the road noise wasn't too bad. Main downside was no air con and very little airflow despite being approx 27 outside so it wasn't mush better inside. Options were to leave the window open, which then increased the road noise. Parking was good and included. Overall it was a good and comfortable stay and I would stay here again.

Disgusting hotel. Entire building is in dire need of renovation. Furniture is disgusting - see pic of desk chair in rooms. Toilets near reception constantly leak waste on the floor. Staff while polite and friendly seem to be vacant from reception, the bar and the restaurant an obscene amount of time causing frustrated people to accumulate in these areas. I’ve worked away and stayed in some diabolical hotels over the years (a number of which no longer exist) and this is easily one of the worst hotels I’ve stayed in. Plenty of options in a 15 min radius means you don’t have to stay here,
