The campsite is extremely clean & tidy, friendly staff, good pitches. Nearby walkable town was a bit disappointing as nothing much there other than two very locals pubs. Well placed to visit York (car parks very expensive) and surrounding areas. Lovely part of the UK

Spotlessly clean well maintained rural site with friendly helpful staff. Close to two villages with shops and pubs. Easy access to York especially via the park and ride which is only a few miles away. Lots to visit nearby.

We spent a week here. The staff are excellent and helpful. It's a spacious and a very well maintained campsite. Everything of the highest quality. Facilities first class. Plenty of hooks in the showers for clothes, a wall mounted seat, and showers that, sensibly, are attached to a side wall, thus drenching a more restricted area than do back wall mounted showers. Always spotlessly clean. One reservation...I can see no point in closing down the dish-washing area r until it HAS to be shut down, namely AFTER having cleaned the priority areas, the showers and toilets. Laundrette...and also two rotary clothes lines adjacent. Play area for children. Shop on site for basics. Excellent information provided and the office most helpful . An excellent site. Would quite happily return and can unreservedly recommend it and the staff.
