Burley Lodge Equestrian Centre

Burley Lodge Riding School is fantastic. The instructors are friendly, professional and really supportive, making every lesson enjoyable and confidence-building. Everyone at the yard is always welcoming and happy to help, creating a lovely atmosphere. Our daughter has come on leaps and bounds since starting here, and it's been amazing to see how much her riding and confidence have improved. They cater for riders of all abilities with both ponies and larger horses available. We would 100% recommend Burley Lodge Riding School to anyone looking for a friendly, well-run place to learn to ride.

After almost a year of doing horse riding lessons for my son here, we messaged at 5:10 pm to reschedule our child's lesson for the next day (at 5 pm) during a house move—a genuine emergency. Rather than help, Nikki weaponized your 24-hour policy (because of 10 mins) instead of using basic judgment. We won't be returning, and I'd suggest reviewing how your reception team handles legitimate, time-sensitive requests from families. Extremely Poor understanding and no common sense !!

We have been riding and loaning at Burley Lodge for over 6 years. The instructors are wonderful and knowledgeable. Whether you are a complete beginner or a more competent rider, Burley Lodge can accommodate all of your needs. Lessons are very reasonably priced. There are a wide range of lovely Horses and ponies to ride, and the staff are very welcoming and friendly.

I've been riding at Burley since 2018 after having an 8 year break from riding. Starting as a client and later becoming a loaner. The staff are very supportive and friendly, and the horses are well cared for, healthy and happy. The yard runs a variety of events including clinics, competitions and other fun activities, catering to riders of all ages and abilities. Burley has a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere, and I'd recommend it to anyone looking for a place to ride and feel supported in their horse riding journey!
