Had the opportunity to dine at Bahara Indian Restaurant and it was such a pleasant surprise! The food was genuinely delicious, and every recommendation we got was a 10/10. The golgappe were served in the cutest little shot glasses — such a fun twist — and the keema naan honestly felt like a keema pizza, super flavourful and so satisfying. The chicken malai tikka was perfectly cooked and really tasty too. The cocktails deserve a special mention — easily some of the best I’ve had. We tried the rose lychee and a twist on a porn star martini, both from the new menu, and they were completely different but equally amazing. For mains, I’m still dreaming about the lamb shank curry — it literally fell off the bone and was so soft and rich in flavour. The chicken biryani was also delicious, and my husband loved the butter chicken. Even the gajrella was presented in a really creative way. Shoutout to Dhruva for the great service! Overall: great ambience, super quick service, and spot-on recommendations. Definitely some of the best Indian food I’ve had since moving to London. Would highly recommend if you’re craving Indian food!

Truly the ultimate Indian dining experience… every plate tells a story. From the first bite to the last, every dish was packed with flavour and authenticity… 🥟 Samosa – golden, crispy perfection filled with spiced potatoes, peas & aromatic herbs 🧅 Onion Bhajiya – light, crispy fritters with the perfect crunch 🥖 Keema Naan – rich, savoury and seriously addictive 🥄 Dahi Puri – the ultimate burst of sweet, tangy & spicy 🍲 Dahl – comforting, creamy and full of depth 🍖 Lamb Chops – tender, juicy and beautifully seasoned 🔥 Mixed Grill – a feast of bold, smoky flavours 🍤 Prawn Biryani – fragrant, perfectly spiced and unforgettable

Friendly staff. If you’re unsure they can recommend customers favourites, so I opted for lamb shank. It was so delicious. Food was flavourful with a hint of spice adjusted to my spice level. Fruit punch mocktail was perfect. I will definitely be back.

I usually avoid Brick Lane when it's time for a curry. Too many very average restaurants, relying on tourists, with increasing aggressive barkers trying to drag people in. Which for me is a major warning sign. Bahara is a pleasant surprise. A small menu, usually a good sign in my experience, good service, the food is well spiced rather just chilli. Prices are what you're going to pay in the area. Beer is reasonable. I liked it and there was a good crowd for a Monday evening. Plus we caught the end of Brazil V Japan with a TV placed so if you're not interested in the football it won't interrupt your evening.
