By the side of River Perry in Shropshire, Brownhill House is one of the best B and B I have ever visited. The beautiful cottage is full of nice delightful characters. The beautiful garden can be visited by public since it joined National Garden Scheme. The garden shows many different types of flowers and vegetables. Part of the garden is on the 45 degree slope with layers of plantations, evidently diligent and artistic effort have been made. Inside the cottage, impressive layout made it tidy, clean, cosy, warmth and homely. There are many different books on the shelves in the seating room and bedroom for guests to browse and read. The single bedroom I stayed is spotlessly clean with ample space. The bed is extremely comfortable, perfectly suit my desperate needs after several hours driving. The bedroom is also spotlessly clean and it is spacious too. Yoland and Roger are very friendly and made me feel good and at ease. Yoland introduced some of activities of the local community and their active involvement. Both of them are bibliophiles and good writers. They have been continuously writing articles, booklets on local landscapes and culture history. Both Yoland and Roger have been actively working for the local community, for instance gardening presentations and collectible classic car shows. Yoland planned and prepared delicious English breakfast with plenty of choice. The home-made damson plum juice is refreshing and tasty. After breakfast and before leaving, Yoland kindly gave me her home-baked raspberry muffins and apple from her their garden to take with me, which are absolutely delicious. Thanks 🙏. This is B and B I would highly recommend if you are looking for countryside tranquility, friendly habitat and relaxing indulgence. Yoland told me that the Postcode is shared by 30 families along the road. Therefore it is better to see the picture of the house before your driving……😀👍. Wei-Jun Bournemouth

Amazing gardens! Amazing owners! Quintessentially English. Perhaps too idiosyncratic for some, but I will certainly be back.

I stayed at this excellent b&b a couple of weeks ago with friends for 3 nights and everything was faultless. My single room was spacious and I had my own spotless bathroom Yolande and Roger are great fun, quirky and interesting. Fantastic breakfast choices (we never needed lunch!) with pancakes to die for. Yolande sent us off with muffins every day. The garden is quite wonderful and has to be seen to be believed. Will be back a.s.a.p. Maureen Edwards, Kent

Lovely staff I enjoyed talking with them about their life. Breakfast was very nice and homely. The gardens were very impressive, scenic and tranquil. Wished we could have stayed longer.
