About Cranberry Moss Caravan Park

Tucked into rural Shropshire just off the A5, Cranberry Moss Caravan Park strikes a fine balance between peaceful countryside retreat and practical touring base. The facilities earn consistent praise for being spotlessly maintained – those toilets and showers gleam – while the atmosphere remains genuinely tranquil. Friendly staff add to the welcoming feel, and there's an on-site pub when you fancy a pint without driving.

The location works brilliantly for exploring Shropshire's gentler side: Ironbridge Gorge and historic Shrewsbury both lie within easy reach, while the Shropshire Hills AONB offers everything from serious hiking on the Long Mynd to casual strolls among the Stretton Hills. Back at base, dogs get their own exercise area, occasional food trucks appear, and those washing-up sinks come with surprisingly good views across the countryside – a small touch that makes chores less tedious. With hardstanding and grass pitches available, it's a well-kept site that quietly delivers.

On arrival had to call for the gate to be opened, and told to park alongside the reception building. Given paper with code for lock on gate for entering, and necessary details in regards to camp rules and regulations..On first arrival staff were leaf blowing the grounds and everything looked tidy and clean. Partner asked where to camp and park our car and apparently he told me that the guy wasn’t the most helpful when it came to explaining where the 1st free space is when camping our pitch, and also there isn’t numbers per camping slots either so could understand the frustration. We didn’t see the pub and also didn’t use the dog walk when we stayed for our one night stay, one thing we did use was the toilets, which was spotlessly clean, warm and plenty of showers and toilets and a few changing cubicles, and what is not to love when you enter the radio is playing which really helped me ease into the camp grounds and feel at home because it was also a good volume and would prevent any awkward toilet noise 😂 the best camp grounds toilets I have visited so far for this reason! ☺️ only thing we wish is for better interaction and information for our pitch if we came and booked again, which we think we would, I personally also loved once checked in staff didn’t hover over you like a hawk and felt comfortable on the grounds as someone who can take a while to settle into new surroundings.

We have been here before. We came back because the lads who run the site are just such lovely, laid back people. The site, and, especially the toilets and shower room are nothing less that immaculate, as is the chemical waste site.... The only issue we had was, we couldn't seem to log into the internet, but it did not detract from our visit one bit. I would recommend this site to anybody. If you are in a motorhome I would recommend you take a secondary form of transport as the taxi service is very poor and the nearest town is not really in comfortable walking distance.
