About Riverside Cabins

Tucked away among trees beside the River Perry, this tiny Shropshire glampsite delivers proper escape-to-the-wilderness vibes, despite being just half an hour from Shrewsbury. The handful of wooden pods and lodges sleep up to six and come impressively kitted out – think full kitchens with air fryers and dishwashers, underfloor heating, and complimentary tea and coffee. Each unit gets its own private hot tub and firepit, positioned well away from neighbours for maximum seclusion.

The riverside setting is perfect for waterside rambles with dogs (welcome year-round), and kayaks and paddleboards are available to borrow if you fancy a paddle. Spotlessly maintained and genuinely peaceful, Riverside Cabins earns consistently glowing feedback for both its well-thought-out comforts and the friendly, attentive welcome from hosts who clearly care about getting the details right.

5 stars doesn’t feel adequate! Myself and four friends came for a weekend away in May. Every single aspect of our stay was astounding. The cabin was perfect and the interior complimented the location, it had everything we needed, from a functionality POV, and was clean whilst maintaining ‘cabin-like’ characteristics rather than feeling too modern for the outdoorsy setting. We stayed in Rosco, I chose this cabin specifically because of the outdoor space which had a beautiful decking, outdoor dining space, fire pit, pond and hot tub. The ducks at pond even added to our stay, they were friendly and full of funny character. Every staff member I had contact with, during the booking process and then throughout our stay, were welcoming, so friendly and amenable. We actually left our cabin key at the Vineyard on the Saturday (we knew we could return on Sunday to get it back) and there was no fuss made by the staff, they simply made sure we had an alternative exit route, for safety, and then so kindly gifted us a bottle of prosecco! On Saturday we used the paddle boards and paddled down the river which was so idyllic. Using the equipment was really straight forward and fuss-free, we signed a disclaimer and then helped ourselves. No pre booking required, they are first come first serve but, during our stay, appeared to be available the whole time. We then went to Hencote Vineyard which is a short taxi journey and I would highly recommend if you are visiting Riverside cabins. There has been so much thought put into the building of Riverside Cabins, it’s so beautiful and you can see how much thought has been in put into the construction of it. They have collaborated with, and respected the nature than building ‘on top’ of what was already there. I plan to return with my partner and four year old daughter. (2 hour drive from Riverside Cabins) Thank you so much, Hannah

I had such a lovely experience at the Yoga and Pilates Retreat—honestly, it was brilliant from start to finish. The location is stunning, the lodges are gorgeous, and the whole atmosphere felt so relaxing and welcoming. You can really tell how much care and thought has gone into every detail of the experience. The teachers were fantastic and the equipment was high quality—some of it I didn’t even realise I needed but made such a difference. I left feeling lighter, calmer, and really well looked after. There were so many nice touches too—free use of canoes and SUPs, which we made the most of, and a gorgeous jacuzzi to unwind in. The final night was a real highlight with acoustic guitarist entertainment and a campfire, which created such a special, cosy vibe. If I had to mention anything minor, the food experience could be improved slightly with a bit more introduction or explanation of the dishes, and one or two small details—but nothing that took away from the overall experience. I felt safe, cared for, and completely able to switch off. I’d absolutely recommend it and would love to return.

Feb 16th- 19th Been trying all last year to get booked in here and it did not disappoint. We stayed in Winston cabin from moment we arrived we felt relaxed and free to do what we would like. Staff on site were always around in the day if needed, if they saw you they checked in on how our stay was going! We stayed local on our first full day Tuesday which was my birthday 🎁 we walked to cafe eleven which was recommended in things to do and we enjoyed a little lunch before walking back. The cabin having an air fryer was a helpful touch so we could cook food when not out. Hot tub amazing, we didn’t use the plunge pool or paddle boards just because of the cold weather we didn’t feel brave enough to take the plunge! We had a walk around the site and enjoyed seeing the added extras and other cabins. We went out one evening to “ego” for a gorgeous Mediterranean meal which we recommend to anyone. Then yesterday had day out in Shrewsbury. Overall it was quiet 🤫 and the perfect break for a reset we needed as a couple as we both work very stressful jobs. We will definitely look to come back in the summer so we can paddle board. Thank you riverside

HIGHLY RECOMMEND Riverside Cabins. Beautiful hot tub lodge in a stunning, secluded location! Free use of the paddle boards and games on site was great fun for the kids (and adults too 😂). Spotless inside the cabin, little extra's like the air fryer and coffee machine were great too. Can't wait to book again and come back.
