Staying in a cottage in Petton. Class this as the local, good selection of drink and the food was excellent? Wee selection of luxury pies was different. Welcoming atmosphere and staff, nothing was a problem. Highly recommend.

Had a really good meal here tonight. Charming smiley barmaid/waitress Mercy, good real ale and much better than usual pub wine by the glass. Steak cooked just as I ordered, great chips, lovely pepper sauce. What’s not to like? And even better no auto service added! But yes I did tip.

Stayed here for 2 nights with my fiancée for our anniversary and wow we were both blown away. Firstly the rooms are gorgeous, if you're looking for that real country hotel vibe then this is the place to be! It's so peaceful and quiet which was exactly what we were looking for. Secondly it's in the perfect location. Not too far from Shrewsbury town or Ellesmere which is another lovely little town. Thirdly the food is impeccable, we had a Sunday roast and it was to die for. One of the best I've had. Proper home cooked food which is always a win for us. And finally have to give a special mention to Shannon who was the lovely lady we spent most of our time in there chatting too. She was so friendly and bubbly and a complete asset to the business! Thank you all for a wonderful stay! Hope to be back there soon!!!
