About Crosslanes Campsite
Crosslanes Campsite is a small campground in rural Shropshire, near the market town of Oswestry. The site has basic facilities including showers, making it a straightforward choice for campers who want somewhere unpretentious to pitch up.
The location suits couples and families looking for a quieter base in the Welsh Borders area, with Oswestry and its shops and pubs within easy reach. What visitors say
Two night trip, one of the best two night camper van trips for a while! perfect location, no silly parking rules, fire pit provided and logs available from the owner (Fran) who happens to be one of the friendliest campsite owners we have ever met, happy to give you loads of information on the area. Facilities are basic but that’s what makes the place so good! the one flushing toilet is immaculately clean.

We have been here twice now and really enjoyed our time here. Loads of space for your tent. Rural setting, really lovely and quiet there too. Can't day enough good things about it!! Facilities are fairly basic, but the flushing toilet works and is kept clean.

A perfect site for a genuine escape from it all. Lovely wild spot, no light pollution and an extremely friendly host who is always happy to share knowledge of the surrounding area. The facilities are extremely basic, but very clean and well maintained (single portaloo cabin fitted with proper flushing toilet, a sink and an outdoor stop tap). More than enough for the more self contained campers and a minor inconvenience when weighed against the unspoilt feel of the site. We have stayed twice now and in both cases had the site to ourselves. We were also able to arrange a one off low fee to stay in the field for a single day (morning to evening for as long as we wanted) allowing us to arrange a perfect day with friends in a great location. We will certainly be going again. James and fee

Lovely tranquil campsite set in a beautiful meadow with a wildlife pond. Lots of space to pitch and for the dogs and kids to run around. Fran is a great host and gave us some excellent suggestions of things to do in the local area. Fresh water and toilet on site and we even used one of Fran’s braziers to have a campfire. We’ll definitely be coming back!
