The Walton

The Walton is a three-bedroom house on a 2000-acre family estate near Onibury, on the edge of the Shropshire Hills. You arrive into a thoughtfully laid-out ground floor: a living room with Freeview TV and DVD player, a separate sitting room with an electric fire, a dining room, and a kitchen fitted with a range cooker, two dishwashers and all the basics for cooking from scratch. Three bedrooms upstairs each have an ensuite shower room; one contains a double and single bed, another the same, and the third has two single beds. Eight people can stay comfortably.

The property sits within shared 15-acre grounds that include a hard tennis court, a swimming pool, and lawned gardens with seating areas. Private parking is available for six cars. Essentials including heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and wi-fi are covered. There is a shared washing machine in an external utility room. The location suits groups exploring the Shropshire Hills or families wanting countryside space combined with proximity to Ludlow, Much Wenlock and the local activity centres; various National Trust properties, Stokesay Castle and Ironbridge are all within a short drive. No smoking indoors.
