Bournstream Cottage is a ground-floor property near Minehead with two bedrooms, two bathrooms and private access to a heated outdoor swimming pool. The main bedroom has a four-poster double bed with an ensuite bath and shower; the second bedroom has two single beds and an ensuite shower room. A living room with Freeview TV and a kitchen/dining room with electric cooker, microwave and fridge complete the layout. The garden has a patio, furniture and parking for two cars.
Everything is included: electricity, bed linen, towels and WiFi (though the signal can be patchy due to the rural location). The shared heated pool operates from late May through August, afternoons only, weather permitting. A washing machine is available, and there's a travel cot and highchair if needed. The cottage does not permit smoking.
Minehead sits at the edge of Exmoor, putting walkers and cyclists within reach of the moors. The coast is close by. For something different, the West Somerset Steam Railway runs nearby, and the Quantock Hills are accessible for day trips.

A lovely place to stay. There is a living room where you can relax, so you are not confined to the bedroom. There is a lovely garden outside , which has a swimming pool, which is open in the summer. I recommend this place for a short relaxing stay

Although we only stayed for one night, our hostess Sue went above and beyond to make sure we were happy and comfortable. The room had fabulous views. We had our own lounge in which she lit the log fire for when we returned after going out for a meal. Breakfast was fantastic. Could not be faulted or improved in any way. We will definitely go back. Very relaxing settings.

Sue is an incredible host. We arrived in the wind and rain and she kindly let us into our room early. We stayed in the two bedroom suite which was made up of a lovely cosy lounge together with twin beds and a ground floor WC. Upstairs there was a bedroom with a king size bed and further single bed. We had access to our own front door and welcoming hallway. Sue greeted us with tea and cake which was just what we needed after a long journey from Cambridgeshire. We enjoyed using the outdoor pool despite the wet weather. Sue kindly lit us an open fire on a particularly cold and wet afternoon. What a treat! Breakfast was perfect - served in another cosy room which we had all to ourselves. We visited nearby Dunster village and castle - highly recommend. The surroundings of Bournestream are stunning - rolling green hills & farmland, we even got to see the local race horses training. We had a wonderful time staying here, made even more perfect by a friendly and welcoming host who goes above and beyond to make her guests feel at home. We shall definitely return again.
