Karslake Cottage

Winsford sits in a valley where two rivers meet, north of Dulverton and deep in Exmoor's prettiest corners. Karslake Cottage is a semi-detached property here, renovated to a high standard and retaining original features—oak beams, an inglenook fireplace with a bread oven, a roll-top bath. The village itself is small and walkable; the landscape beyond invites longer exploration on foot or by car.
The cottage holds four people across two bedrooms: a king and a double, both on the first floor. Downstairs there is a living room with the wood burner, a well-equipped kitchen with Aga and Belfast sink, utility room, and a separate toilet. The bathroom has the roll-top bath plus a separate shower. Essentials like heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and wifi are included, along with initial logs for the stove. An enclosed garden with patio and seating opens to the rear; one car can park on site.
The curved staircase is narrow in places, and there are steps at various points inside and in the garden. No smoking is permitted. The cottage suits couples or families wanting a comfortable base for exploring Exmoor's moorland, rivers and walking routes, or simply for a quiet spell by the fire.
