Freedom Fields - Heather is a fully equipped cabin sleeping two in rural South Ayrshire. Everything essential is provided: electricity, heating, bed linen, towels and wifi are all included, along with a welcome pack and dressing gown. The cabin is yours alone for the duration of your stay.
The layout combines comfort with practicality. Downstairs, an open-plan space contains the kitchen, living and dining areas. The kitchen has an electric hob, combi microwave-oven-grill, and fridge-freezer, making self-catering straightforward. A wood-burning electric fire warms the living space on cooler evenings. Upstairs, the galleried bedroom holds a kingsize bed. A cubicle shower, heated towel rail and toilet complete the facilities.
Outside, a wood-fired hot tub for four sits on a private terrace with garden furniture, barbecue and firepit. The cabin occupies countryside within walking distance of Straiton village, which has a pub, coffee shop and store. Galloway Forest Park lies nearby, offering 300 square miles of woodland, moorland and lochs; the park also holds Dark Sky Park status. No smoking is permitted in the cabin. One dog is welcome.

We are just back from our second stay at The Bracken pod, where the views and amenities are great all round! Elaine is such a welcoming host, and is there at any time if you need anything during your stay 🥰 The hot tub is great to use all throughout the stay, and is easy to use after a quick tutorial from Elaine! The pod itself has everything you’d need and is very well heated and insulated for the colder Scottish weather! We will definitely be back again ☺️

Had a relaxing valentines weekend at the Heather pod. Beautiful inside and outside..quirky,cosy and so well equipped. Hot tub just the best used everyday. The views and peace were just fantastic,enjoyed a morning coffee sitting outside. We will definitely return. 🍾💛🍸

I stayed in The Heather pod for 2 nights , The chill vibes and views from the pod were amazing. Elaine was so lovely too she was right there to help if needed anything , Definitely planning on returning 🫶🏼

Myself and my partner spent 3 days at the freedomfields glamping pods for our anniversary and had the most relaxing, special time! The scenery was so peaceful, and we particularly loved seeing the animals round about! Elaine was a fabulous host and made sure we were comfortable, well informed and had everything we needed! Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a peaceful time away and a wholesome trip!
