Stinchar View

Ballantrae sits on one of Scotland's most walked stretches of coast. The Ayrshire Coastal Path runs past Stinchar View, giving direct access to beach and river walks; the sand is just 100 yards away. Girvan harbour and leisure centre are 15 minutes' drive, and the ferry terminals for Arran, Bute and Great Cumbrae lie further down the coast. Ayr, Troon and Prestwick offer restaurants and shops for a change of scene, while Dumfries and Galloway's villages and coves are a short drive inland. Glasgow and Edinburgh are both within reach for a day trip.

The house is arranged upside-down: bedrooms on the ground floor, the main living space above. You get two king beds (one room also has a pull-out single), a shower room, and an open-plan kitchen and dining area on the first floor. The living room, with wood burner and Smart TV, opens onto a decking area with views toward the water. Below, an enclosed courtyard contains the private hot tub. Heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi are included; initial logs for the burner come with the house. The kitchen is fully equipped for self-catering. Bike storage and parking for four cars are available. One dog is welcome free of charge; a travel cot and highchair can be arranged. Smoking is not permitted.
