Woodlands Lodge

Woodlands Lodge is a ground-floor property sleeping four within Lagganhouse Country Park, near the village of Ballantrae on the Ayrshire coast. The open-plan living space combines a sitting area with a dining kitchen, fitted with an electric oven, gas hob and dishwasher. One bedroom has a king bed, the other two bunk beds; there is one shower room. Essentials including electricity, heating, bed linen, towels and wifi are covered. A welcome pack is provided on arrival.

The lodge works well for families with younger children. A shared play area sits within the grounds, and the heated indoor pool—open May to September—can be booked in 45-minute slots, allowing private use if you prefer. Outside, a wraparound deck with garden furniture and a barbecue overlooks the grounds. Parking for one car is provided. The property is no-smoking, though one well-behaved pet stays free.

Ballantrae itself, three miles away, has a beach, harbour and local pub. Girvan lies 20 minutes further and offers boat trips to Ailsa Craig for birdwatching or fishing. The wider area draws visitors for its castles—including Culzean, dramatically perched on cliffs—and its literary heritage connected to Robert Burns. Woodland walks start from the park itself.
