South Devon's river valleys and coastal paths draw walkers year-round, and this converted mill sits perfectly positioned to explore them. The village of Aveton Gifford, four miles from Kingsbridge, has a pub within walking distance and a shop two miles away. Sandy beaches at Bantham and Bigbury-on-Sea are under five miles off; from there you can walk across the causeway to Burgh Island at low tide. Dartmoor is reachable in thirty minutes, Salcombe in seven, and the South West Coastal Paths run nearby.
Mill Cottage is a one-bedroom property on a single floor, sleeping two in a double bed and a single, with a separate bathroom. The living and dining space has a Freesat television and DVD player. The kitchen contains an electric cooker, microwave, fridge and freezer—enough for self-catering throughout your stay. Electricity, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi are all included. A stream and mill pond adjoin the cottage; the south-facing terrace overlooks the water, and the larger garden beyond has seating and space to walk. Private parking for two cars sits outside. One well-behaved dog can stay free of charge, though the property is not suitable for children under thirteen except babies under two.
Ground-floor access requires five steps to the entrance. The water supply comes from a natural spring. No smoking is permitted indoors.
