Reuben’s

A converted barn in the hamlet of Boreston, Reuben's retains the character of its agricultural past—exposed stonework, high ceilings and solid wood floors run through the ground floor living spaces, where a wood burner sits in a large fireplace. The kitchen is fitted for proper cooking, with electric range and dishwasher, and opens directly onto the garden and terrace.

Five bedrooms are spread across two floors: ground level has two doubles with ensuite showers; upstairs, a kingsize and two rooms with single beds (one opening to a Juliet balcony), plus a fifth bedroom that shares a family bathroom with bath and shower. Each ensuite has heated towel rails. The whole property is yours alone, with wi-fi, parking on site, and an enclosed garden. Bed linen and towels are provided. One pet is welcome.

Boreston sits within reach of Kingsbridge, Dartmouth and Totnes—Dartmouth's castle and marina are close, as are Dartmoor's walking routes and the steam railway to Paignton. Totnes has a mainline station to London. Roads locally are narrow and single-track, typical of rural South Devon. No smoking indoors.
