Tell Tails
South Hams
Tell Tails occupies an elevated position above Dartmouth, with views across the River Dart toward the surrounding countryside. The village itself sits on steep slopes running down to the water, its narrow streets lined with independent shops, galleries and places to eat within a few minutes' walk. The cottage is an end-terraced property accessed via 27 steps up from street level.
Inside, there are three bedrooms sleeping six: a kingsize on the first floor, two singles also on the first floor, and a double on the second. Two bathrooms serve the property—one with a bath and separate shower cubicle, one a wet room. The living and dining areas occupy the ground floor with a wood-burning fireplace, and the kitchen has a gas hob, electric oven, dishwasher and all the basics for self-catering. Heating is by gas central system. Wi-Fi, bed linen and towels are included.
The enclosed garden has a decked sitting area. Dartmouth's quayside is close by if you want to watch boats or take a river trip; the Steam Railway runs from here too. Golden flag beaches lie three miles away, and the broader Devon coast and countryside are within easy reach. The cottage does not permit smoking.
