What visitors say
Spent three nights in Maple Shepherd Hut recently, and what a lovely time we had! Beautifully decorated and perfectly kitted out with comfort in mind. The excellent mattress really did help with a great night's sleep; pillows were too soft for my liking, but I guess it would be tricky to please everyone. The wood-fired hot tub is a lovely idea, but be prepared to heat it for hours before use. Once it's hot though, it is absolutely wonderful. We used some of the little activities scattered around the Hideaway and also had a lovely time walking around the grounds. The only constructive criticism we would have is that the drive down to the parking for the Shepherd Huts needs some attention. As our car is relatively low profile, the uneven gravel path was a bit of a challenge to navigate. We very much enjoyed our time at Dittisham Hideaway and would happily return.

We had the most amazing couple of days. The Shepard's hut was beautiful, spacious and well designed for a family of four. The views were idillic and thanks to the wonderful weather, we were able to make the most of the outdoor space. The fire pit, BBQ and hot tub were all a big hit with our girls, especially toasting marshmallows on the fire pit as the sun set. Super location too for exploring the wonderful south hams. Thank you to all the staff too for the welcome basket and great communication when I accidentally booked the wrong dates!

We spent two nights in the Airstream. It has been beautifully renovated to a very high standard and has everything you need. Lovely and generous welcome basket. The best thing though is the location which is nothing short of idyllic. We sat outside all day looking at the view, listening to the many birds and alternating between the wood fired bath (which came with a generous supply of logs) and the super comfy egg chair. The perfect day thank you!

We have just returned from a (far too) short break, staying in the iconic US Airstream at Dittisham Hideaway. It was on my bucket list of special birthday year things to do. Everything was done by Kate, Rob & Janine to ensure we had a relaxed and happy stay. Their attention to detail was amazing, with so many thoughtful touches including a delicious welcome basket and birthday banner, card and cake. The location is exactly as the name would suggest - hidden amidst rolling Devon hills (yet only 4 miles or so from Dartmouth). Think trees, birdsong and butterflies and you're almost there! If you're looking for somewhere quiet, well-run and surrounded by nature, we'd definitely recommend Dittisham Hideaway. They also have treehouses and shepherd huts and we'd love to return with our family to stay in these.
