The Barn House

The Barn House is a converted barn with character features including low ceilings, exposed beams and steep narrow stairs. Set in the village of Ugborough in South Devon, it provides a base for exploring Dartmoor and the South Hams coast. The property sleeps six across three bedrooms, with one bathroom upstairs. One bedroom has a zip-and-link super kingsize bed (convertible to twin singles), another a kingsize, and the third contains two single beds. Families may find the highchair and stairgate useful.

Downstairs, the open-plan living and dining room centres on a woodburner—initial logs are supplied—with a Freeview Smart TV for quieter evenings. The kitchen is fitted with an electric oven, induction hob, dishwasher, washing machine and tumble dryer, so you can manage a week without much planning. Wifi, electricity, bed linen and towels are all included. Outside, an enclosed courtyard garden offers space to sit, with a barbecue for cooking. On-road parking is available.

The village location puts a pub within walking distance. Note that steep stairs and low doorways mean it may not suit everyone; a step also leads into the garden. The property is for holiday lets only, and smoking is not permitted. One well-behaved pet can stay without extra charge.
