Tucked onto a working dairy and sheep farm just outside Dartmoor National Park, Dunwell Farm offers spectacular moorland views and a genuinely peaceful retreat. The small site – under 25 pitches of non-electric grass – sits among rolling south Devon countryside, with walks spilling straight from the grounds and the Two Moors Way less than five miles away. Both Bigbury-on-Sea and Mothecombe beaches are within a 25-minute drive, while Ugborough village (two pubs, five minutes) and Modbury (shops, ten minutes) handle everyday needs.
Facilities are straightforward: a clean toilet block with showers, baby changing, washing-up area and a small communal fridge. Groups and friendly dogs are welcome, though leads are required on this working farm. The vibe is relaxed and family-friendly, with plenty of green space and a warm welcome from the owners. If you're after moorland hikes, coastal swims and the quiet hum of a proper working farm, you'll have done well bagging a break here.

Absolutely perfect little campsite. Easy to find and lovely owners. Incredible views, and incredibly clean and well maintained showers and toilets. I usually hate push button showers as the water push lasts 10 seconds, but not here, the push lasts a decent amount of time and lovely hot water. Good indoor and outdoor washing up spots with washing up liquid, and a guest fridge and kettle. You fall asleep and wake up to the sound of the cows and sheep. Perfect.

A wonderful place in the middle of nature with wonderful people, very kind staff, the whole family enjoyed it and the children loved this place, puppies are welcome, a bathroom equipped with showers and a very clean toilet, we will definitely come back how many times we will be in this area, Thank you Dunwell Farm🫶🏼❤️🌲

The team and I had the pleasure of leading a wedding last August. It was a stunning day for our couple and their guests!

The barn is amazing. But we had to walk up a grass hill in the rain to wait in a marquee whilst the owners and workers were getting the bbq food ready and tables set up. Then come back down in the rain to eat.
